Mountain Living -- May 28 - June 1st

  • The mountain was alive with people taking advantage of the long Memorial Day weekend.

  • The top 3 things to know for taking pictures are: 1. Composition/ get close to the picture you are taking, the picture will turn out better. 2. Know how to operate your camera, check out its features. 3. Learn to download pictures to your computer.
  • Look for the “Round the Campfire” article in the Smoke Signals for Arrowhead news and tidbits!
  • GO FISH! Practice your fishing at home before you go. A fun fishing website. The fish are swimming. Click on a spot in front of the fish and watch the man cast and catch fish. Good luck and no lies!
  • Pat’s watercolor classes start June 19, 2007. Email Pat for more information.
  • The annual Wild Flower Walk at Arrowhead will be held again this year in July. Contact Linda Dysart for more information.
  • Crested Butte and Lake City have movie theaters, Gunnison does not.
  • Deer should be getting ready to drop their fawns. Doe’s are very protective of their offspring and will try to scare you off by stamping their feet and/or charging you. We will start seeing the fawns around the 1st half of July.
